What counts as a minute?

Connected talk time, counted per second, with a 15-second minimum on any answered call. Calls that ring out, hit voicemail, get a busy tone or fail are free - you are never billed for a conversation that did not happen.

What happens when the free 10 minutes run out?

It stops. There is no overage on the free plan, so nothing can quietly start charging you - and since billing runs through Shopify, there is no separate payment detail for us to hold. The free allowance is 10 minutes once, not 10 minutes a month. Pick a plan when you want to keep going.

Do I need permission to call my customers?

Accepted Answer

For anything that promotes a purchase - abandoned checkout included - yes. The soft opt-in that exists for email and SMS does not exist for phone calls in the US, the UK or the EU. That is why we ship the tools to collect permission and to prove it: a re-worded checkout consent line, a thank-you page block, verbal consent captured on a call, and a one-click export of who agreed, when, and to exactly what wording. Service calls, like a delivery problem, are a different matter and need no marketing consent.

Does the customer know they are talking to an AI?

Yes, in the first sentence, on every call. That is required by the EU AI Act, and it is built into the system rather than into a script - you can reword it, you cannot remove it. The same is true of the recording notice: if it is missing, recording switches itself off rather than recording anyone unannounced.

What number does it call from?

Accepted Answer

Your own. You get a working number on the free plan, from the day you install, and you can hold more than one if you sell into more than one market. Inbound and outbound share it, so a customer who rings back reaches the same agent that called them.

Can it answer calls as well as make them?

Accepted Answer

That is the point of it being one agent rather than two products. The same number your automations dial out from is the number your customers ring in on, and both sides of that write into one customer timeline.

What if someone asks to stop being called?

The agent recognises it in the conversation and acts on it there and then, and that person is never called again - whatever a flow, a list or an attestation says afterwards. It applies across voice and SMS together, not per channel.

How long do you keep recordings and transcripts?

Accepted Answer

Call recordings and transcripts are deleted automatically on a fixed schedule, and everything tied to your store is removed within 30 days of you uninstalling. We never train any AI model on your data or your customers' data. The detail is in the privacy policy and the data processing agreement.

How am I billed, and can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Through Shopify, on your existing Shopify invoice, in US dollars. Change plan or cancel from inside your Shopify admin whenever you like - there is no contract and nothing to email us about.
