Do I need a new email address?

No. Otengo is fully compatible with your existing email address.
|

Does the person I am sending Otengo messages to need to install Otengo?
|

Simply send your Otengo message to any email address. If they don't already have Otengo installed, they will receive a link that will lead them to get Otengo and receive the message you sent.

Do I need to keep my PC on at all time?
|
|
|
No, it is not necessary. However, for optimum performance, it is best to keep your PC on with Otengo running as much as possible. This improves the performance of the Otengo network and lets you receive your incoming messages promptly. As a general rule of thumb, the larger the size of the messages that you typically send and receive, the longer you should keep Otengo running on your PC.

Can I turn off my PC while Otengo is in the middle of transferring messages?

Sure. Otengo simply resumes its activity when the PC is turned on again.
|

Can I receive messages on any PC?
|
|
|
Otengo is direct message exchange to your PC. In order to preserve the privacy and security of your communication, messages in transit may be received at the PC where you were last logged on. If you wish to use Otengo on a second PC, we suggest registering with a second email account.

I cannot seem to send a very large size message to multiple recipients. Why is that?
|
|
|
Otengo currently supports multiple recipients for messages up to 2GB in size. If you would like to send larger messages to multiple recipients, please compose separate messages or simply forward your message from the Sent folder to additional recipients.

My friend sent me an Otengo message to invite me but I did not receive it. What should I do?
|
|
|
Please check your "Bulk", "Spam", or "Junk" folder to see if your friend's invitation went there by mistake. If you don't find it, please contact us!

Can I use Otengo on the Mac?

Not yet! We are working on a version for the Mac and it will be available soon.
